It's not every day you get to be entertained by Beardyman at your work's do. Mind you it's not every day that your company offers you a chance to make your dreams come true. This is precisely what Everything Everywhere does!
Everything Everywhere is the UK's largest communications company, providing mobile and fixed-broadband communications services to more than 27 million customers through the Orange and T-Mobile brands. They employ more than 15,000 people throughout the UK and run 720 stores throughout the US.
As part of the their ongoing efforts to bring the two brands closer together they have implemented, in conjunction with Yellow Fish Event Management - who came up with the concept - an annual staff incentive called The Best Dream Awards.
The incentive involves nominees from a range of 10 different categories, from the two brands, that get together for an evening of awards, fantasy and ceremony - and the winners get to choose their "dream"! Wow what a company!
The event, which was attended by the 60 final nominees along with senior management teams from both companies, can best be described as an evening of pure fantasy with entertainment to match including the La La Hoopers, a hula hoop act done in the dark with illuminated hoops; Plague, an award-winning dance troupe and Beardyman, whose class beat box act has made him an extremely sought-after DJ, and a real coup for the event organisers, Yellow Fish.
AVT Connect, who regularly works closely with Yellow Fish to provide production solutions, was on hand throughout the evening to ensure the smooth running of the event. The team had organised all the production side of things from the floaty white stage set including screens, lighting, relay music and presentation slides to the inflatable "dream booth" (yes, really!) - all managed and timed to precision. Becky Deo, Project Manager for this event said of the evening, "With a name like The Best Dream Awards, you can imagine we felt rather under pressure to achieve just that - but the evening was superb and went without a hitch. We've also had some rather fantastic client feedback which makes it all worthwhile."
Feedback from Maria Valentine, Director of Yellow Fish was indeed positive "I just wanted to say a massive thank you and to all the team for a really superb show on Friday night. The feedback from all who attended and the Everything Everywhere management team has been outstanding and, whilst we can make everything look pretty, at the end of the day, if the show doesn't run smoothly and professionally, then we've lost it. The whole show did run seamlessly. We had many different elements to take in to account; various different entertainers all with their own requirements, feeds from the photo booth and of course, the awards themselves. All of it worked!"
Luckily, the event was filmed and edited (by our very own Matt Valentine, no relation to Maria) so join in the fantasy and .
